Monocoque

The chassis ensures ergonomics and safety for the driver. It is the centrepiece of the chassis and serves as a connection for the suspension, aerodynamics and pedal box. For the first time, we have opted for a full monocoque, which allows us to dispense with a frame at the rear. The battery and inverter are located behind the driver.

  • One-piece laminated full monocoque made of prepreg carbon and aluminium honeycomb in sandwich construction using autoclave technology
  • Crash box at the front with anti-intrusion plate made of carbon-aramid hybrid and impact attenuator in the form of an aluminium honeycomb
  • Front hoop made of 6-piece, bent aluminium welded construction to save weight and achieve design freedom

  • Monocoque demoulding through 6 main moulds to gain more design freedom and allow partial reworking for future vehicles
  • Shifting the main hop to the inside of the vehicle to minimise aerodynamic turbulence

Pedal box

  • Bracket integrated directly into the monocoque to minimise installation size
  • Quick adjustment to adapt the pedal box to different drivers
  • Option to adjust the brake balance between the front and rear axle
  • Sensor integrated on the brake pedal for recuperation
  • Actuators for autonomous driving on the brake pedal
