The drivetrain provides the necessary propulsion for the racing car. We have opted for a drive concept with four wheel hub motors. Each wheel has an assembly consisting of an electric motor and planetary gearbox, which are individually controlled by a driving dynamics control system.

Electrical motor

  • Water-cooled electric motors with a peak output of 35 kW
  • Efficient operation thanks to inverters developed in-house
  • Direct connection to the gearbox

Wheel hub gear

  • Self-developed stepped planetary gearbox, which reduces the engine speed from 20,000 rpm and provides 350 Nm of torque for a short time for the drive
  • Integration of the gearbox in the wheel carrier for compact packaging in the wheel assembly
  • Top speed of 125 km/h

A particular focus during gearbox development was to achieve the smallest possible installation space and high efficiency. The case-hardened gears ground to gear quality 4 make a particularly positive contribution here
