The era of TOMSOI began with the founding of Infinity Racing in 2007. In 14 years, 12 combustion vehicles and the team as it presents itself today were built up. With ups and downs, the TOMSOI has changed a lot from the first prototype to the current development.
In August 2020, Infinity decided to make a complete change and therefore decided that the TOMSOI XII, which was developed and built during the coronavirus seasons from 2019 to 2021, would be the last car of its kind. This was the starting signal for the development of a completely new vehicle, as not only the drivetrain had to be modified, but the chassis, suspension and bodywork also had to be adapted for the electric drive. Furthermore, many new areas and working groups have been added and existing ones have expanded and require greater effort.
A new development entails many tasks, so we are very grateful to our loyal and new sponsors for tackling the project with us.
However, the biggest factor for our team in developing a driving racing car is the members, who are 100 per cent students. It doesn't matter which degree programme they are enrolled in. Tourism students help with the chassis production, members of the electrical engineering faculty take care of the finances and economics students design the chassis.
